Uno degli appuntamenti fissi che caratterizzano il folklore locale è senza dubbio il Carnevale Valdericino, che vede la partecipazione in massa della gente sia nella realizzazione dei carri allegorici, sia nella partecipazione attiva alla manifestazione. I carri, realizzati in polistirolo e cartapesta, sono opera di artisti locali, che mettono a disposizione della comunità valdericina la loro professionalità ed il loro tempo libero. La preparazione dei carri inizia due mesi prima che la sfilata abbia luogo, ed ogni anno si scelgono dei temi su cui gli artisti danno sfogo alla loro fantasia.
